📅 November 2025 – SNAP Benefits Fully Restored After Federal Shutdown
Following the end of the recent federal government shutdown,
SNAP benefits have been fully reinstated nationwide, including in Illinois.
EBT deposit systems are operating normally again, and recipients should begin seeing their
regular benefit amounts on schedule.
If your benefits appear delayed or incorrect, check your Illinois Link account and contact
Illinois DHS for assistance.
🥫 Community Food Support During Benefit Restoration
As SNAP systems return to normal, the Greater Chicago Food Depository and several partner sites
across Bronzeville, Englewood, Auburn Gresham, and the South Suburbs are maintaining
extended hours and added distributions to support families during the transition period.
